Design Details
- The Torah portion is scanned out of our family Tanach and printed onto lovely archival cardstock that gives the look of aged, handwritten calligraphy.
- A collage is then crafted, with the colors of your choice using gold and silver accents, onto the cover in a design reminiscent of a Torah Scroll.
- Jenni also adds a nameplate printed on the same paper, and backed by a touch of complementary colors.
- The nameplate includes the English name, Hebrew name, English date, and Hebrew date.
- Finally, an English translation of the passage appears on the inside front cover.
Torah Portion Details
- The very best way to ensure that your album features the correct Torah portion is for you to tell us exactly which lines will be read. We recommend checking with your Rabbi, Cantor, or Hebrew instructor.
- The easiest way for you to communicate this to us is to specify the Parasha, book, chapter, and verses, in this format: (Parasha Bereshit: Genesis 1:1 – 2:3) If the information you have is less specific, just let us know as much as you can, and we’ll work with you to determine what text will be printed.
- If you have no idea what the child will be reading, we recommend using the standard reading for the date, which we can determine using a Hebrew calendar.
- Please bear in mind that some Torah readings are several pages long, and cannot fit on the cover of the album. Physically, we have about 10 inches from top to bottom to print the design. If your child’s reading is longer, we will need to cut the text to fit.
- A proof of all texts in Hebrew and English, as well as the nameplate, will be emailed to you for review. We want to ensure that all information used in the book’s design is correct, so we’ll ask for your approval before completing the final assembly of the book.
Important note regarding color:
Monitors vary greatly in how they display colors. We have done our best to represent our colors accurately, but what you see on your screen may not be identical to the actual product. Additionally, because each Torah scroll design is a unique work of art, the papers we use to craft your collage will vary each time we make one. Please click here for a more thorough discussion of our colors.

Personalized items are NOT returnable. Please make your selections carefully, and review all spellings and dates before completing your order. To ensure there are no errors, we will ask you to approve a digital proof of all texts before the final design is assembled.
