Tattoo Book
Tattoo artists can have a difficult time when they first start out. Finding anyone to practice on as a new artist can be hard, no one wants to be stuck with a bad tattoo. So in order to practice they either tattoo fruit skin, like bananas and oranges, or even raw chicken. Most tattoo artists will tell you that they probably practiced on themselves when they were first starting out too.
But what if there was another, less permanent, way for these artists to practice...that didn't involve the risk of salmonella?
A Brazilian ad agency released a video of a notebook made with synthetic paper that simulates skin. It's not real...yet. But it's going viral, which means I wouldn't be surprised if we see a real one being marketed soon.
The book was created by the ad agency for their client, Tattoo Art Magazine and it's being described as a "Moleskine-esque" sketchbook by various blogs. The video is getting so much exposure that various tattoo websites and magazines, such as Tattoo Artist Magazine which have posted about the book, have been getting requests from people to buy the book.
The pages even feature body parts to make the practice more realistic for the artist.
