Grand Opening Festivities
We had such a blast at our Grand Opening Celebration and want to say THANK YOU to everyone who was able to share in our excitement.
We had an amazing turnout all three days. The pouring rain on Thursday seemed ominous, but it didn’t stop people from coming in to say hi! Our friends and family came by and we were lucky enough to meet some of our social media friends.
We had a demonstration from Bright Books - a company that donates solar lights to those in need. We showed off our paper-tearing skills for making our One of a Kind Journals. That big butcher knife sure looked off-putting!
We were embossing from morning to night and had some amazingly creative requests from our customers. Vertical, horizontal, back cover, inside front cover, wide spacing, different font sizes on one book - you name it! Nothing our talented embossers couldn't manage.
We even encouraged people to write on our walls! Well, just one wall - we got creative in our art supplies corner and made a photo backdrop using our notebooks, the papers that our customers use to test pens, and the scraps from our One of a Kind pages. We had everyone on staff helping to make the book sculptures and paper flowers.
Everyone who stopped by left with a freebie notebook and a satisfied sweet tooth, thanks to Firehook Bakery, who provided brownies, cookies, fruit tarts, and more.
